Dave Young and Benny Hailey have been in the cattle business for a combined 50 years. Both of them decided to enter into the bucking bull industry in 2004 and started their two operations separately. With the help of several of the nations top breeders they both began their businesses.
To Paul Sparks of Oka Lusa Rodeo Stock/ Klein Brothers Pro Rodeo, Howard Talley and Gene Melton of Circle T Rodeo and Winston Loe they give their appreciation for their advice and assistance.
Dave Young began by purchasing some top quality females and a bull sired by Roy Carters High Voltage. Dave started his business in January of 2005 at his residence in West Monroe, Louisiana. He and his son Paul Young, an accomplished pro rodeo bull rider, began their operation with some high quality females and began breeding to some of the best bucking stock bulls in the business. David Stribling assisted with all of their artificial insemination procedures to insure top quality breeding procedures.
Benny Hailey and CP Williams purchased 5 cows in 2004 and began their respective breeding program in Caldwell, Texas. Paul Sparks of Oka Lusa Rodeo Stock offered to allow Benny and C. P. to breed 2 of their best cows to Smokeless Wardance and the breeding program was born.
During a hunting trip Dave Young and Benny Hailey met and began to talk bull. Discussing their past, the two of them discussed their common interests and discovered both men were Master Mason’s and had a lot of the same interested and formed a bonding friendship. The two also had started bucking bull breeding programs in recent years and began discussing forming a partnership and merging both their herds together. Both men had totally separate genetics in their respective herds and this made the partnership even more interesting to them. The partnership was formed , Youngbulls and Hailey Cattle Company today offer some of the most exclusive genetics of bucking bulls in the industry.
Their herd sires consist of CP’S Wardance, a son of the legendary Smokeless Wardance. He is a 4 year old bull weighing in at 1400 pounds and is un-ridden in 12 outs. Little Gator, a son of Alligator and Yellow Jacket Daughter, is a 1450 pound bull and is proving to be a strong herd sire with the addition to some very colorful and athletic calves dropping in 2009. With the assistance of Paul Sparks they recently purchased a daughter of Fort Worth, a daughter of Air Choctaw and a double bred Trick or Treat‘ daughter. The breeding program added 2 daughters of White Bird and a daughter of Southwick breeding to mention just a few of the more recent breeding stock. Youngbulls and Hailey Cattle Company owns the dame to Total Darkness a PBR short round bull. Calves that are being raised on the ranch are sired by some of the most awesome bulls in the PBR today. Sires include: Gotcha of the Hargis Ranch, Total Darkness, Air Choctaw, Fort Worth, Trick or Treat and White Bird just to mention a few.
Youngbulls and Hailey Cattle company offer for sale at all times calves, heifers and bull calves. Semen is available from our herd sires and other sires that are used for breeding purposes also.
